I created this graphic for the first day of school (August 16). It’s another vector-based, “from scratch” graphic. I used Adobe Illustrator to create it, and I was so excited to post it first thing the next morning. While I was/am pretty biased towards the graphic itself, the true measure of success where social media is concerned is engagement. I wasn’t over the moon with the level of engagement…at all, but I guess we’re still somewhat new to the game…especially with Facebook and Instagram.
From this graphic, there were five photos posted overall: one on Twitter and four on Instagram. It did receive 15 “likes” on Facebook, but no action behind the call to action. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
From a technical standpoint, this is the first time (I think) I’ve created a vector-based object (the actual tag) using separate segments (pencil tool), grouping them, and applying a fill.
