If you’re anything like me, there are times when you just need a break from social media. There are days I find myself scrolling through my Facebook feed during a down time, and when I finish, I simply don’t feel good.
Sad?
Drained?
Bored?
Unmotivated?
Not enthused?
Annoyed?
Bothered?
Inadequate?
Who really knows? I can’t ever fully put my finger on it, but I find myself asking, “If it doesn’t make me feel good, why am I doing it?” It’s certainly not a necessity.
So I withdraw and unplug.
And it’s good for me.
So here’s my “real.” Here’s what my house will probably look like if you pop up unannounced on any given day. Here’s what you may not see posted on your friends’ Facebook walls or on their Instagram accounts. But here’s what we sometimes need.
Reality.
Just plain reality.
