Sense of Accomplishment

Last week, I did an audio recording in the studio with a group of students and their music teacher, to prepare for this morning’s Earth Day assembly. Our super creative music teacher changed the words to Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror”, to convey messages about being more environmentally conscious. During the recording of “Kid in the Mirror”, there were countless takes, needless to say, but it was so precious. (Of course, I’m a little biased, because “Man in the Mirror” is my favorite song.) Below is a picture I took while they were singing (Their faces are blurred; you know the nature of my job.), along with the audio from the very end of the song. After almost an hour, they got all the parts they were struggling with, and I left the recorder on as I led them in screams of joy. The energy in the studio at that moment was amazing, and it was so cool to see how happy the kids were. These are some of the moments I truly love about my job. ☺
